Tips on how to survive London this summer Bookmark and Share
By Val Schroder

LONDON - If you're going to London this year to help the Queen celebrate her Diamond Jubilee (60 years on the throne) or to attend the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, you don’t have to bring a lot of cash. In fact, there are plenty of “free” or “inexpensive” things to do in Britain’s vibrant capital. You just need a little guidance. So let me show you the way with this list of “free” museums, cheap places to eat and ways to get around sprawling London without blowing your budget:

Britain’s Bath gushing with pride again Bookmark and Share

BATH, ENGLAND – It’s graduation day and the banks of the River Avon are crowded with caps and gowns and the students wearing them jockey for position as parents and friends snap photographs of the momentous moment.

London’s Lancaster Hotel a sweet surprise Bookmark and Share
By Marc Atchison
LONDON – The lobby of the Lancaster Hotel is always a beehive of activity - a constant buzz of excitement fills the air here.

K-West is London’s “coolest” hotel and spa Bookmark and Share
By Marc Atchison
LONDON – The Cockney cabbie taking us to the stylish K-West Hotel and Spa tells us the ultra-chic property is the “coolest hotel in London, mate.”

Wales ready for the Ryder Cup Bookmark and Share
By Marc Atchison

NEWPORT, WALES – The nose of the tiny golf cart Luke Jennings is piloting dips into the lush Usk Valley and the stage on which the 38th Ryder Cup Matches will be played comes into full view.

Welsh town a living museum Bookmark and Share

CAERLEON, WALES – In a land full of sweet surprises, this tiny village may be the sweetest of them all.

Cardiff a city of sweet treats Bookmark and Share
By Marc Atchison

CARDIFF – A small dusting of sugar that had dropped from the Welsh cakes I so exuberantly devoured settles on my black trousers and a young server offers to sweep away the sweet residue with a small brush.

Movie tourism trail puts spotlight on Britain Bookmark and Share
KETTLEWELL, ENGLAND - Long before Helen Mirren became the queen of our hearts with her Acadamy Award-winning portrayal of the British monarch in The Queen, she already ruled the silver screen thanks to her many other excellent performances.

Tiny Bibury a fairytale place to visit Bookmark and Share
By Marc Atchison

BIBURY, ENGLAND - The trout that only hours earlier had been swimming in the brook gurgling outside the Swan Hotel was now being served at breakfast to guests in the hotel's wood-paneled dining room. While they ate, visitors quietly thumbed through local guidebooks and occasionally made notes as they mapped out their tourist strategy for the day.

Yorkshire an appetizing place to visit Bookmark and Share
By Marc Atchison

WHITBY, ENGLAND - It was midday by the time we arrived in this pretty Yorkshire fishing town nestled by the North Sea. We had worked up a considerable appetite on our drive from historic York, so, we asked a local man where we might find the best fish and chips?

London market a hidden treasure Bookmark and Share
By Marc Atchison

LONDON - Long before you see Borough Market, you smell it. Good smells. Like the kind produced by hot loaves of freshly baked bread left to cool on a rack outside one of the market's 80 stalls. Or sharp ones that come wafting from a cheese shop at the rear of the outdoor food emporium.
