1. PARIS: A beautiful city during the day and equally breathtaking at night. Paris is rich in history with incredible architecture, museums, art and churches throughout the city. My favourite place to sit down, relax and enjoy a glass of wine or coffee at any time of the day.

THEY - say time flies and I couldn’t agree more as I flip through the stamp collection on my passport from the past five years. This month marks my five-year journey as a flight attendant and it sure brings back many memories.

LAKE LOUISE, AB - I remember tears rolling down my cheeks when I first saw the Eiffle Tower. I gasped with disbelief when I took my first step on the Great Wall of China. But even those amazing moments can’t top what I’m feeling as I look through the floor-to-ceiling Palladian windows in the aptly named Lakeview Lounge of the fairytale-like Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

KOH PHI PHI, THAILAND - My parents should have named me Ariel after the Little Mermaid because nothing makes me feel more alive than being under the sea.

WHISTLER, B.C. - If there were an award for “Worst Canadian,” I’d top the list of nominees. I don’t snowboard, ski or ice skate, and I’m not really interested in things my fellow Canadians love, like hockey, bacon or Tim’s coffee. Oh, and did I mention I hate winter?

HONG KONG -I can proudly claim that I have quite the talent when it comes to daydreaming. I especially dream about escaping Toronto’s cold winter weather no less than once a week — going from -30C to +30C weather and sitting poolside under the sun with a freshly muddled Mojito is all part of the day dream.

LOS ANGELES - As my cab pulls up to the hotel, I suddenly realized that I had nothing planned for my one precious layover day in Los Angeles. I usually spend days in advance of landing in a city researching where I can go, where the best places are to indulge in local cuisine, what time the sun sets — I’ll even go as far as investigating how big the hotel swimming pool is. But there I was with absolutely no clue as to how I should spend my one day in the City of Angels.
