Downton Abbey coming to New York

Downton Abbey coming to New York

If, like me, you’re a big Downton Abbey fan, you’ll like this news out of New York: NBC Universal International Studios announced the Downton Abbey: The Exhibition will make its U.S. debut in New York City on Saturday, November 18.
Organizers tell me they’ve had great response from Canadian fans, who have been big supporters of the mega-hit British series.
The Exhibition will connect fans with their favourite characters, costumes, locations and historic events of the era, as well as showcase never-before-seen footage.
The highly-anticipated multi-city tour will open its doors at 218 W 57th Street (between Broadway and 7th Ave) in New York for a limited engagement before travelling throughout the U.S. - no Canadian stops are planned.
Visitors will be transported on an incredible journey through the grand home of Downton Abbey as the exhibition peers into the world of the Crawleys and those that served them below stairs.  From Mrs. Patmore’s hectic kitchen and the gossip-fuelled servants’ quarters, to the family’s glamorous dining room and Lady Mary’s bedroom, fans will get the chance to walk through some of the series’ most recognizable and beloved sets.  Visitors will even come up-close to over 50 of the show’s official costumes worn by their favourite actors including Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville and Dame Maggie Smith.
Tickets are now available to purchase at www.downtonexhibition.com
