Through years of field research and travel from the tropics to the arctic he has developed an interest in writing about nature and environmental issues and an occasional predilection for Type II fun. He has led and taken part in several expeditions, including a crossing of the Vatnajökull glacier in Iceland and the first documented, unsupported winter traverse of Algonquin Provincial Park.
